Many years ago, i had a most unpleasant experience while trying to check out of a ski resort after two days of a five-day stay because the snow conditions were horrible.First, I was told I couldn't leave.(Imagine that!) Then, when I suggested to the front-desk manager that what she was saying sounded a lot like hostage-taking or, at least, illegal confinement, she backed off and said I could leave but had to pay for the full five nights I had reserved.
